GLOSSYBOX/ AUGUST 2018

Summer is slowly fading and we all love those golden, sandy beaches as we soak up the sun. This month GLOSSYBOX has you covered with six products that will get you going through out the final days of summer. If you aren’t familiar with GLOSSY BOX it is a $21 monthly subscription that features skincare, makeup, nails, and hair care products. Usually their products are a mix of deluxe and full size.
This month’s theme is Beach Please, inspired by the beach. The box is full of fun illustrations; with bikini, beach balls, seashells, sunglasses, and umbrellas. It was exclusively designed by Sarah Bolton! You can re use it to store photographs, makeup, or use it as a gift box.

The box included six products from VDL, Grow Gorgeous Haircare, NCLA, SETZ, MONU EYE COOL GEL, and REN CLEAN SKINCARE. Below I will tell you more about each product, mini review, and swatch time! (Disclosure: Products provided by GLOSSYBOX, I’m keeping it 100% all opinions are mine)
VDL: Lumilayer Primer Fresh $10
We all know that if you want flawless makeup, it starts with a great foundation. By that I mean a great base, which is primer. This primer not only preps your face but it also illuminates your face and highlights your features. The formula is provides great color while remaining sheer and natural.
Grow Gorgeous Haircare: Scalp Detox: $34
This formula is full of natural ingredients and blends of minerals that exfoliate the scalp. Which if you think about it, with all the hair treatments and chemicals you end up with build up. If you want your hair to grow then it all starts at the roots and treating your scalp. Since it is an exfoliator I recommend using it if you have time to spare because it is a bit hard to take it off. The formula contains small beads and it has a strong scent. It does a great job at removing build up making your scalp feel clean.
NCLA: Nail Lacquer in I Been Drinking $16
The name is pretty out there, fun fact it’s named in honor of Queen Bey (Beyonce) You will for sure channel your inner Sasha Fierce! The shade is a pretty watermelon pink, perfect for summer days. Especially for sandal season! Another great reason to love NCLA is that it is cruelty-free, 100% vegan, and 7-free. So go ahead and rock on your manicure gilt free. Two coats is all you need and it doesn't take long for it to dry.
Ren Clean Skincare: Flash Hydro-boost Instant Plumbing Emulsion: $44
This hydro-boost helps retain moisture and fight signs of aging. Carthame Oil is part of the ingredients that help repair skins natural barriers over time. I’m all for keeping my skin looking young and healthy! Best of all I can double it up with my daily moisturizer for an even more hydrated feeling.
MONU EYE COOL GEL: $30
I used to have designer bags, under my eyes but now days I have mom bags. So I am always willing to try anything that reduces puffiness and dark circles. MONU EYE COOL GEL does exactly that. Their ingredients include Ginseng, Vitamin C, Arnica, and Sodium Hyaluronate which help lift, pump, and correct your tone. If you want an even more cooling sensation then refrigerate the tube.

SETZ: Blot + Translucent Powder: $3.99
Ditch the loose or compact powder when you are on the go with these recyclable one time use blotting powder. They help blot away excess oil while locking in our makeup, for a longer lasting look. These would be great during the summer days and since its translucent powder you don’t have to worry about matching your skin tone.
This month was full of summer products that will help you get through the end of summer. The total value of the box is $84.39 which is awesome considering the box is $21. I really like the fact that they’ve included products that are beneficial for your skin and some that you wouldn’t have even thought about trying. Like the Scalp Detox it is a winner in my books because long healthy hair starts at the roots. It was a well rounded box and how gorgeous was the box itself definitely a keeper for storing photos or other things. You can still get this box by subscribing to GLOSSYBOX before the end of August 30th.

Boxy Charm/February Unboxing+Review

It's BoxyMail Time, this month's theme is Galaxy Glow. It is definitely giving me all the Space Jams vibes. If you aren't familiar with BOXYCHARM it is a beauty subscription for $21 a month. Usually you get 5-6 full size products! Based on the theme I thought that the products were going to be vibrant, glowy, or have a neon effect. There were so many variations on their IG that I was not sure if I was going to like this month's box. The five items that were included in my box were a highlighter palette, shimmer veil, eye pencil, glitter, and trio brush set.  (Disclaimer: this review is NOT sponsored by BOXYCHARM, I bought this with my own money, all opinions are mine. Women's Watches: Where to Shop for Unique Timepieces

Tick tock, tick tock. Time is slowly creeping up and I'm making sure to make the most out of it. As a mommy of two, I stop and stare at my two beautiful daughters I began to reminisce on the day they were both born. Oh such tiny little babies they were and all I can think is poof they've grown in a blink of an eye. I am soaking up every moment and making memories with them because I want them to always remember all the good TIMES we've experienced. Thanks to JORD on my wrist, it is a daily reminder to cherish my precious time. JORD is based in St. Louis. They design sophisticated watches with mix of natural, and largely re-claimed materials, combined with quality movements and components. JORD are best known for their unique hand crafted wooden watches. I consider myself minimalistic when it comes to watches. When I saw THE CASSIA it caught my attention because I knew it was perfect for me! It is thoughtfully styled with a Scandinavian design in mind. The band is
