This summer is all about exposing a little shoulders! I am definitely digging this trend and decided I needed an off the shouldres dress asap! I had the perfect fabric for this dress that I had envisioned. I had bought this beautiful bright floral on black cotton jersey blend knit fabric from my favorite fabric store Girl Charlee. For the design I used my modified pattern from Simplicity 1358 the bodicon tank dress. I ommited the chunky straps making it a tank top. I drafted a rectangle to create the off the shoulder ruffle. I decided to add tiny spaghetti straps for extra support to avoid any slips. Another modification I made was legnthening it a bit. Since this fabric wasn't as stretchy as my previous ones I should have added 5/8" on each side for more wiggle room.
