Off the Shoulder Maternity Dress

This summer is all about exposing a little shoulders! I am definitely digging this trend and decided I needed an off the shouldres dress asap!
I had the perfect fabric for this dress that I had envisioned. I had bought this beautiful bright floral on black cotton jersey blend knit fabric from my favorite fabric store Girl Charlee.

For the design I used my modified pattern from Simplicity 1358 the bodicon tank dress. I ommited the chunky straps making it a tank top. I drafted a rectangle to create the off the shoulder ruffle. I decided to add tiny spaghetti straps for extra support to avoid any slips. Another modification I made was legnthening it a bit. Since this fabric wasn't as stretchy as my previous ones I should have added 5/8" on each side for more wiggle room.
Sewing it was easy peezie, and just like that I had a brand new dress to add to my maternity collection!! I really loved the final product.
The only thing is, my baby bump is growing and I don't for see me wearing it too long. Considering that the fabric has limited stretch.
Here are a couple of picture of me rocking my off the shoulder dress. (Currently 31 weeks) I absolutely love it and wished I had sewn it before I started getting bigger.
I hope you enjoyed my latest maternity sewing project! Make sure to check back for another maternity DIY. This time it won't be a dress, you don't want to miss it!!

Keep Me Safe Organics / Skin Care Review

Hello darlings, today I have a beauty product review from Keep Me Safe Organics! The company carries organic, toxic free beauty and skincare products. I believe that taking care of your face is important since it is the first thing everyone sees so make it a lasting impression. I'll be reviewing their skincare line, which are the facial cleanser, facial toner, facial moisturizer, serum, and rejuvenating glacier mud mask. (Disclosure, all products provided by Keep Me Safe Organics   All my opinions are mine and I'm keeping it 100%.) In order to give you my honest opinion, I tested the products for three days and made a video documenting my results after using all the products. I will post the video below. Let's talk about my skin issues before using the products; I suffered from dry flaky skin, red blotchy patches on my cheeks and of course acne. I'll be reviewing each item and tell you a bit more about them. Whipped Citrus Antioxidant Cleanser: This pH

Tick tock, tick tock. Time is slowly creeping up and I'm making sure to make the most out of it. As a mommy of two, I stop and stare at my two beautiful daughters I began to reminisce on the day they were both born. Oh such tiny little babies they were and all I can think is poof they've grown in a blink of an eye. I am soaking up every moment and making memories with them because I want them to always remember all the good TIMES we've experienced. Thanks to JORD on my wrist, it is a daily reminder to cherish my precious time. JORD is based in St. Louis. They design sophisticated watches with mix of natural, and largely re-claimed materials, combined with quality movements and components.
