Summer Fashion Illustration

Hey ladies and gents, ya’ll know what today is, Flash Back Friday Fashion Illustration! This is my summer collection; I noticed I tend to do dresses a lot so for this collection I decided to incorporate separates. For the inspiration our instructor told us to choose a current designer as inspiration I can't remember who I chose as inspiration. I just remember the designers collection was young and fun filled with color and that's what inspired my summer collection.

For this collection I wanted to explore different fabrics and textures. The fabrics I chose were chiffon, jacquard, silk dupioni, and corduroy. The back story: My girl is young early 20’s, she isn’t afraid of loud colors or print. You can call her a modern clueless if you will. She loves bows and is a super girlie girl.

Design number one, we will call her the “Blue Gal”, she is wearing a flouncy tube top with straps that tie in the back creating an exaggerated bow. The skirt is a cross between pencil skirt/bubble skirts. I love her hair style and color it’s so cool and the styling is elegant.  At the time I thought who’d ever rock a blue hair only in my imagination and what do you know fast forward to 2014 and you see blue hair everywhere. My fashion forecast was right on point! Her accessories include long gloves, rings, bracelet, big earrings, high knee socks and a little clutch.

Design number two, the “Hot Pink Chick”, she is wearing a very fitted corset bodice, with one shoulder bow strap. Her skirt is an exaggerated bubble skirt. Her accessories include cute strappy heels and a classic pearl necklace. The hair is the infamous “pouf” you know the one Snookie rocked on the jersey shore only its hot pink.

Design number three: “Blondie” she is wearing a tiered flowy top with cups and corduroy capris that ruche at the bottom. Her fun accessories are polka dotted wedge shoes, ring, bracelet, a little clutch, and a bow belt. Her hair is big high bun with a bow clip.

Material used: Pencil, prisma markers, prisma color pencil.

What hairstyle/color did you like and would rock?

As a mommy of two, I stop and stare at my two beautiful daughters I began to reminisce on the day they were both born. Oh such tiny little babies they were and all I can think is poof they've grown in a blink of an eye. I am soaking up every moment and making memories with them because I want them to always remember all the good TIMES we've experienced. Thanks to JORD on my wrist, it is a daily reminder to cherish my precious time. JORD is based in St. Louis. They design sophisticated watches with mix of natural, and largely re-claimed materials, combined with quality movements and components. JORD are best known for their unique hand crafted wooden watches. I consider myself minimalistic when it comes to watches. When I saw THE CASSIA it caught my attention because I knew it was perfect for me! It is thoughtfully styled with a Scandinavian design in mind. The band is
